About me

The Spiritual Learning Center (SLC) is here to offer you the chance to study with like-minded people in emotionally safe environments. SLC strives to provide learning opportunities based on expansive concepts that challenge and amplify mainstream knowledge and experience. We offer the chance to learn about things that you may have always been curious about, but haven't known where to go to learn about them.

If you're looking for an inner-connection, which allows you to find and follow your own intuitive guidance, we've got classes to help you do so. If you want to know more about the early Christian church and ancient scriptures, we've got an interesting course for you. We've got classes and events to meet you at your level of knowledge, interest and experience. We offer short and longer term learning sessions in the form of classes, seminars and retreats. We create opportunities to connect with interesting people and subject matter in ways that accommodate your schedule.

Science and Spirituality: Finding Your Place In The Cosmos

This course is about opening your perception to new ways of thinking that are beneficial to explore. The present will be placed in an historical context of intellectual and spiritual thought to provide an overview of how we got here and provide a framework to answer the question, “Where do we go from here?” Explore the synergistic relationship between science and spirituality based upon the new physics, or quantum mechanics. Discuss the philosophies of Galileo, Newton, Buddha, Jesus, and other great minds for improved self awareness, intellectual stimulation, and spiritual enlightenment. Ancient Scriptures: Lost Books of the Bible

Explore the Gnostic Gospels and examine the political and social influences at the time the Bible was written. Learn what Rome was like in Biblical times and how the Bible came to become the Bible. Discuss the impact and the implications omitting these scriptures from the Bible has had on modern day Christian society. Read the gospels of Thomas, Mary Magdalene, Judas Iscariot, infancy gospel of Jesus, and other ancient texts.

The Early Christian Church:

The early church was very different from the church most people know today. Explore the development of the early church (to 400 A.D.) and its many twists and turns leading to its recognition by the Roman Empire and the codification of the New Testament. Learn the importance and legacy of the Emperor Constantine to the growth of Christianity. Discuss the Council of Nicea, how the first Bible was created and how it was later changed, how Bibles are different today in different parts of the world, and how the historic Bible changed to become the one most Christians read today.

Metaphysical Jesus Science and Religion: Metaphysics and the New Testament What Jesus Really Said. The Hidden Message of the New Testament

Jesus spoke in parables, metaphors, and metaphysical symbolism because he knew that not everyone was ready, or able, to receive the message of the new revelation he carried. Jesus spoke of “secrets” and “hidden messages” and “those who are not ready.” He also knew that he was speaking for the ages. Jesus was not giving humanity a precise set of directions leading to salvation, but rather a set of principles that would lead us there. Explore and discuss the hidden messages of the new testament with the author of the upcoming book, “What Jesus Really Said,” and examine the metaphysical symbology for intellectual stimulation and self-discovery.

Dream Interpretation

Learn the importance of your dreams in your life and how to interpret your dreams. Learn the ways your subconscious mind processes information, and how it communicates with you through your dreams. Learn to use jungian and metaphysical methods and symbols, and archetypal images to unravel your dream messages, the four functions of dreams, the steps to interpreting dreams, and the necessity of dreams to your psyche. You will learn to honor and utilize your own dreams to improve your life. The history of dreams in ancient and Biblical times is reviewed.
